Exploring Pitch through Different Modes
Description of Pedagogical Tool:
This Multimodal Pitch Interpretation Activity explores melody as an element of music and is divided into two parts. First, students will use their markers to follow the melody line on their paper to engage with changes in pitch through audio, visual, and spatial modalities. Then, students will respond to changes in pitch through movement to engage with melody through audio and gestural modalities.
