Engaging with Multiliteracies to Deepen Understandings of Historical Events and Social Justice
Description of Pedagogical Tool:
A childrenโs book explores the Underground Railroad from the perspective of the North Star. A digital tool plays visuals and ambient sounds to immerse students in the story as it is read aloud by the teacher, and includes interactive activities, comprehension questions, and discussion prompts throughout the text.
